About The Event
International Yoga and Music Festival is organized every year in November since 2008 by Nad Yoga Trust and sponsored by Nada Yoga School in Rishikesh, India.
Every year, the International Yoga and Music Festival, invites you to join yoga classes in many different forms of Yoga from many different teachers or Yogis. They hold yoga classes in Yoga Asanas (Hatha yoga, Ashtanga, Iyengar, Sivananda), Pranayama (breathing exercises), Shatkarma (cleansing exercises), meditation and spiritual lectures.
Ayurveda lectures are given by qualified experienced Ayurveda doctors, who check your entire health system, including reading your pulse. You will learn many basic things for your daily home use, to keep and balance your health.
Every evening of the 7 days of the yearly Yoga and Music festival, held in November, people enjoy live Indian classical music or dance from professional, famous musicians and dancers. Many of them are from other parts of India; Some have their own schools and ashrams in Rishikesh and look forward to welcoming new students who have a compassion for Indian classical music, or dance.

The Yoga and Music Festival gives many a chance to start with their spiritual practice and to begin to strengthen their bodies through body exercises of Yoga. Yoga can be practiced by healthy people as well as people with diseases. This requires experienced teachers with knowledge in these areas; In Rishikesh you can attend a course of studies in local universities and obtain a masters’ degree in yoga practices in as short as two years or attend 200-hour one-month yoga teacher training programs to obtain an internationally recognized yoga alliance certificate.
The classes start from 7 am and end with everyday Indian Classical Music Concert at 7 pm.
All the classes provided during the festival are FREE of cost. That means you don’t have to pay for any of the classes or lectures you attend during the festival.
This year, due to the pandemic, the festival will take place online through video conferencing.
Schedule and other details will be shared and sent to you via email 1 day before the start date.

A Few Words
About The Event Organizer
The International Yoga & Music Festival is organised by Nada Yoga School every year in November since 2008.
Offering much more than a mere qualified yoga teaching training course, Nada Yoga School is a boutique yoga center that intertwines expert classical hatha yoga teaching with the ancient musical Nada Yoga knowledge.
Under the tutelage of master teachers with their decades’ experience, the various 200-hour teaching programmes weave an intensive study of yoga asanas, pranayama, philosophy, chakra systems, human anatomy, ayurvedic medicine, meditation technique, purification practice, music mantra, and kirtan study.
Nada Yoga School is the first of its kind in India to combine the ancient studies of musical vibration — where the sound is used for inner transformation — with a classical hatha yoga practice, one undisputedly interlinked with the other.
Registered with Yoga Alliance, USA, Nada Yoga School is one of the oldest and traditional yoga schools in Rishikesh, India, with its team of the best-recognized yoga teachers of Rishikesh.
Nada Yoga School was established in 1950 by world-renowned reverent Swami D. R. Parvatikar Maharaj (one of the famous masters in India, known as Nada Yogi Veena Baba). He established his unique teaching known as Nada Yoga – a holistic union through sound. Today’s successor to Veena Baba is the school’s administrator Bhuwan Chandra, master sitar player and Indian Classical master who has been a musician and a yoga practitioner since childhood.
To study yoga at Nada Yoga School is to come to the source of authentic ancient knowledge and yoga technique in the yoga capital of the world.
Set in its prime location directly overlooking and alongside the beauty of the Ganges in the famous Ram Jhula area of Rishikesh, Nada Yoga School runs yoga teachers training, kundalini yoga courses, nada yoga courses, yoga retreats, workshops, and yoga intensives for those who want to gain a real knowledge of ancient hatha yoga in the simplicity of the ashram’s atmosphere.
The School is the perfect place to acquire the knowledge of Yoga and its path towards becoming a professional Yoga Teacher, as well as, to gain a more profound understanding of one’s own healthy, peaceful and happy life.
