Varsha Vardhanaa have managed Nadesha Baratham Dance Academy professionally for 35 years. Many successful Salangai Poojas and Arangetram has been conduct. I have been performing in many functions, events and places and receive a good feed back.
I complete my Aranggetram at a young age with Guru Indara Maha Karalasingam who is currently in Canada. After that I moved to Melbourne, Australia to study the art from further the able tutelage of Dr. Chandrabanu at the Candrabanu Barathalaya Academy. In 1988, I complete my post graduate (degree) courses at the academy and had undertaken the practical and theorical application in Abhinaya-Indian Classical Dance Historionics, Nattuvangam The Dynamics of Vocal Pecusions, Dance in Education Practise Barathanatyam and Kucipudi, Teaching Methods and Advised Repertoir.
I’ve learned Kucipudi dance from Madam Satya Priya, student of Padma Sri Dr. Venpat Chinnatyam. I have gone through under Odissi training Dr. Chandrabhanu and Guru Durgacharat. At 1991, I’ve moved to Madras (Chennai) to further my dance studies under the world renowned Guru Padma Sri Adiyar K. Lechmanan and his sister, Naganami Shinivarsar Rao.
I’m a versatile performers and has performed in the grand production of DR. Chandrabanu’s “the epic of the anklet” (cilappathikam) in 1989,”The Golden Mountain” in 1992 and sakthi goddess in the same year. I have also performed in the Kannagi Dance Drama…Rudyard kipling’s ”The Jungle Book”, rich world of asia, and many more dance drama/performance globally.
